thank God
homosexuals are .... feeble-minded

I was not happy being a manager at the bookstore. I decided to step down to my previous position as receiving specialist, and so far it's been nice. I had to take a small, manageable pay cut, but I'm not complaining. The pressure is off; I have much less responsibility. Now I can safely talk shit about things at work.

I wish people would start killing eachother at these town hall things. That would be sweet. Like super mega blood-baths. Bodies everywhere. Yes.

I have today and tomorrow off. Huzzah.
Work yesterday was painfully boring. Our district manager forbids managers from working on projects (endcaps, feature tables, etc.) so that we can remain mobile. This seems cool, but when it's slow and there are no customers it makes the day very long. The job really sucks sometimes. We are a huge store by company standards but our sales are very low, so our labor budget is low. Yet we still have to do all the same changes, etc. that any other big store would have to do. So it is a constant struggle to stay on top of things. And of course, I'm the non-book merchandising manager so I'm held accountable for our progress. Or lack thereof. I guess I really shouldn't complain, though. It is probably the best job I've had so far. Still, I'm not happy. I'm 22 years old and once again I'm stuck somewhere I really don't want to be. I'm bored. I'd like to go back to school, but that's expensive. "Downtown" is playing. This song makes me happy.
I woke up early this morning and for some reason mulled over my failed attempt at architecture school for some time. Such a waste. Oh well, c'est la vie.
I've gotten back into facebook. It's a nice diversion. Gives me something to do when bored at work. Until I get fired, anyway.
Roy gave me a new laptop, which is quite nice. It's an HP (so it's made here in Houston) and it has the nifty fingerprint reader thingy. Cuz security is, like, so important these days. Thanks, pal.

I saw The Farnsworth Invention a couple weeks ago at The Alley, and it was marvelous. Aaron Sorkin was there afterward for a Q&A. He seems really interesting. The play was really the best one I've seen. Ever.

My mom's bf just bought an SL55

I saw Synecdoche, New York the other day; it was good. Not what I expected.
I'm being promoted at work!
I helped my mom pick out a gun last week. She's going to give me her old one.

I just watched Un Homme et Une Femme, and I enjoyed it very much. If I was straight I would be in love with Anouk Aimée. She is a beauty. I started reading a manga series, and so far it's been an interesting little diversion.
